Privacy Policy

Responsible party

Responsible for data processing is COCONAUT® Switzerland / Fight Connection Nakonieczny, Switzerland. Contact: shop@coconaut.ch.

This means: Fight Connection Nakonieczny, based in Switzerland, decides which data is collected in connection with orders and inquiries and how it is processed. For questions on this, the e-mail address above is the direct contact.

Treatment under Swiss law

The seller assures that personal data will be treated in accordance with the provisions of the Swiss Data Protection Act.

In practice, this means Swiss legislation governs the processing of customer data, not foreign law, even when orders are placed online.

Use of data

Customer data collected is used to process orders, for internal market research and evaluations, and for the disclosures described below.

Concretely, this means: data from orders feeds into internal evaluations, for example to understand which flavours or formats are in higher demand — it is not used for purposes outside this scope.

Measurement with Google Analytics and Google Ads, including for Google Shopping (Google Merchant Center), takes place only with your consent (see “Cookies and measurement”).

Disclosure to third parties

Data is passed to partner companies for the proper processing of orders, for example to companies involved in delivering an order and to Wix.com Ltd. as the technical operator of the shop (see “Shop, cart and checkout”). The pages themselves are delivered by Netlify, Inc. (USA) (see “Hosting”).

Only if you agree to measurement does Google (Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland, and Google LLC, USA) additionally receive data about the use of this website and about purchases (see “Cookies and measurement”). Without your consent this disclosure does not take place. Separately, Google receives data if you load the map on the contact page (see “Map on the contact page”).

Shop, cart and checkout

The shop on this website runs on Wix.com Ltd. Displaying products, using the cart and going to checkout all send data to Wix.

What is transmitted are technical connection details such as the IP address, together with the contents of the cart. The payment step itself takes place on a page hosted by Wix.

Hosting

The pages of this website are delivered by Netlify, Inc. (USA). When a page is requested, Netlify processes your IP address and details of the request, such as the address requested, the time and the browser, in server logs in order to deliver the pages.

The data may be transferred to the USA in the process.

Local storage in your browser

This website stores entries in your browser's local storage: a session token for the cart, the number of items in it and – only if you sign in to your customer account – the sign-in state and the access tokens for that account. These entries are sent only to Wix, which issued them.

Two more entries come from this website itself: “coconaut_consent” remembers your cookie choice and when you made it (we ask again after 12 months), and “coconaut_ga4_tx” is created only after you consent and after a purchase. For each Wix checkout it holds the order number, the number of send attempts and the time of the first attempt, at most 20 entries, so that the same purchase is counted only once and is not sent again and again. If you withdraw your consent, these entries are locked so that no purchase is reported again, and the order numbers are removed from them. These two entries stay in the browser. You can delete all entries at any time through your browser settings; signing out of your customer account removes only the Wix sign-in token.

Cookies and measurement

Without your consent this website itself sets no cookies for measurement or advertising purposes. It then connects to Google only if you load the map on the contact page (see “Map on the contact page”). The hosting provider may set technically necessary cookies that serve only to deliver the pages.

If you click “Accept” in the notice, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure the use of this website and Google Ads conversion measurement to measure whether a purchase follows an advert. The same Google tag also measures page views and purchases for Google Shopping (Google Merchant Center). For this, Google sets the cookies “_ga” and “_ga_*” (Analytics: recognising visits and sessions; one of the “_ga_*” cookies is used for the Google Shopping measurement), “_gcl_*” (Google Ads: linking a purchase to a click on an advert) and “_gac_*” (Google Ads: details of a click on an advert). When a purchase is made, we report the order number, the amount, the currency, shipping cost, tax and the items bought to Google, without name or address.

The recipients are Google Ireland Ltd. (Ireland) and Google LLC (USA). The data may be transferred to the USA; this relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent.

How long Google keeps the measurement data depends on the retention period set in our Google Analytics account. The cookies expire after the period set by Google and can be deleted in your browser at any time.

Checkout and account sign-in take place on pages hosted by Wix. There Wix shows its own cookie notice, and Wix's own privacy and cookie notices apply.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. If you withdraw, the cookies named above (“_ga”, “_ga_*”, “_gac_*”, “_gcl_*”) are deleted on this website and measurement stops.

Map on the contact page

On the contact page we first show only an image of the map. The Google Maps map is loaded from Google only when you click “Load map”; without that click no connection to Google is made.

After the click, Google (Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland, and Google LLC, USA) receives your IP address and data about your use of the map and may set its own cookies. The data may be transferred to the USA.

Contact for privacy inquiries

Please direct privacy inquiries to shop@coconaut.ch.

Anyone who wants to know what data is stored about them, or has a question about processing, is welcome to reach out informally by e-mail at any time to this address.
